DescriptionDiasporium Media Network is seeking interns with interest in audio production for a news agency.
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for setting up, installing, and monitoring equipment during radio and television programs. Ensures sound comes through at a high quality and operates transmitter to broadcast radio or TV programs. Set up, operate, and maintain radio and television broadcast equipment. Engineer will also record broadcast programs or do its live production, monitor and adjust clarity, reliability, and strength of incoming and outgoing signals during shows, verify station is on-air, confer with station personnel to set audio and video levels, ensure signal is functioning properly before scheduled program, train assistants on how to use production equipment, produce and edit sound where necessary.
RequirementsPreferably a sound engineering student, journalism is a plus with interest in working for a radio or television station in the future. Passion is a must and continous training. Must be technically sound, a good listener, problem solver and communicator. A PC is with at least Windows 7 or higher operating system is a must.
