DescriptionToMakeFriends focuses on improving readers' social health while they read curated news stories.
This is an unpaid internship which will provide real-life experience and recommendations necessary to acquire future employment as Chief Editor or Community Manager at this or similar corporations. This is a highly flexible position which allows you to work around other responsibilities and obligations. In addition, this is not a "micromanaging" kind of company. Meetings are scheduled only when needed and are typically kept as brief as possible, allowing the maximum amount of time to create and produce.
Interns are not guaranteed future employment, although they will be highly considered in the event of job openings matching their qualifications.
Responsibilities- Create 2-3 daily news posts and weekly feature post.
- Edit up to 2 brief posts per day.
- Curate and schedule content to be shared on social media.
- Periodically produce content for instructional content--such as How To lists or Resource Lists--made available to readers.
Requirements-Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in English, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a field which preps for job skills listed under "Responsibilities" section.
-Strong written communication skills with the ability to write short, punchy news articles (300-500 words) as well as long format feature pieces (800-1,200 words).
-Ability to edit pieces submitted by other writers to ensure they fit format/style/tone of brand.
-Ability to develop work calendars and manage project timelines, including scheduling and posting content on time
-Self-motivation is a must!
-Access to personal laptop and WIFI network is a plus.
-Please share 2-3 writing samples.
-It is helpful, but not required, to share the URL of social media accounts that demonstrate skill level.
