Description

Solo Criminal Defense attorney seeking 1st year or 2nd year law student with strong legal research and writing skills for project oriented tasks. Attorney will consider college applicant with strong legal interests but please articulate what tasks you deem yourself capable of handling. Ideal for someone who wants to practice Criminal Law in the future either as a prosecutor or defense attorney. Some minimal office related clerical tasks as well. Second language is a strong plus. I am flexible as to schedule but I'd estimate 5 - 10 hours per week split between my office and independent research. Attorney is a former prosecutor with 17 over years experience specializing in criminal law. He is also an adjunct professor and has been a frequent legal analyst on Court TV, Fox News Channel, Tru TV and ABC News Now.

Responsibilities

Intern will be involved in all aspects of legal research, and trial preparation. Any translating work done on behalf of the firm will be compensated as an independent contractor.

Requirements

Must have familiarity with Westlaw or Lexis-Nexis based research and must have a strong interest in Criminal Law.
