DescriptionWe are a boutique law firm with multiple locations including our new branch location in La Mirada, CA, with an opening for an INTERNSHIP. This is a fantastic opportunity and will include litigation cases involving complex matters. You will be working for a firm that truly values you, your intelligence, talent and skills, and your contribution to our ongoing success.
This position is Unpaid, but may lead to Paid Position, depending on performance. We will train you on how to work in a paperless modern consumer law office.

ResponsibilitiesSUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL LEARN HOW TO DRAFT LEGAL DOCUMENTS AND PLEADINGS THAT WILL BE FILED IN ONGOING CASES.
Great opportunity to learn how to interview clients, call the court and ask for certain actions to be completed and generally how to work in a law office.
This is a PART TIME POSITION.

RequirementsThe ideal candidate is attending law school or is a recent graduate who is looking to gain traction in the legal market. You will develop skills which can and should lead to an upward bound career path. An ideal candidate can dedicate 20 hours per week, at least, to the office.
. Must have Bachelors degree.
. Must have excellent grammar and spelling skills.
. A professional phone presence, great organizational skills
. Preferably able to speak Spanish
. Thorough knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and type at least 50 wpm.
. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate potentially detailed and complex information to others
. Strong organizational and time management skills
. Demonstrated strong attention to detail
. Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions
. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust to changing priorities in a professional manner
. Ability to work independently and with a team
. Willingness and ability to assume new tasks and responsibilities
