DescriptionThe Monfiston Firm, P.A , a plaintiff's insurance litigation firm, is seeking an intern to work in its legal department part-time, with the possibility of the internship continuing into the 2016 Fall. Responsibilities will include assisting attorneys and legal staff with filing documents, and research and analysis in the areas of first party, residential property insurance. The internship is geared at providing students with an opportunity to explore the practice of law in a corporate environment.
Bachelor's Degree with a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school is preferred.
Candidate would be working primarily with existing support staff, so must be able to work well with others.
The position requires the ability to adhere to deadlines and multi-tasking.
The desired candidate will be detail oriented, self-motivated, and a self-starter.
Candidate should also have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Candidate should have strong analytical, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
Must be organized and well-versed in complete Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to maintain confidentiality is KEY.
Punctuality, professionalism, and proper work decorum is a must.
Bilingual (English and Spanish) is highly preferred.
