DescriptionLooking for an ambitious and creative person seeking experience in intellectual property and transactional law. The PLK Law Group is a boutique law firm working with business owners to protect their copyrights, trademarks, patents and other such creative expression with a focus on developing and packaging client brands. In addition, the firm's focus is in drafting and negotiating business deals and other business related transactions. Client brands range from music, television, film and publishing requiring a balance between legal protection and creative investments. Thus, the internship will involve working in a legal capacity as well as from a branding standpoint.
ResponsibilitiesReviewing, analyzing and prosecuting trademark and copyright registrations with the Federal Government as well as working to facilitate and enforce various contracts, ranging from recording and production agreements, licensing, TV and film deals, and joint venture and partnership agreements. Also, from a creative perspective, working to develop, package and license clients' brands ranging from music, television, film and publishing. PLK is a one-stop-shop providing legal protection as well as creative solutions.
RequirementsLaw students preferred
