DescriptionSanchez Law Firm seeks to fill two part-time intern (unpaid) positions for legal assistants or law clerks, which may be filled by students at college, law school, or paralegal school. Interns will be exposed to a variety of tasks and responsibilities and thus be able to compile a portfolio of work presentable for future employment in a variety of settings. Such work will include researching cases and statutes based on legal strategy developed during client representation, drafting legal documents, contacting potential client leads, helping attorneys prepare for and present continuing legal education speeches and articles, and light office work such as answering phones and preparing correspondence. Interns will also be exposed to events outside the office depending upon their availability, including bar association lunches and dinners, CLE programs, marketing events, and court hearings and trials.
• Must possess strong written and oral communications skills
• Must have customer service and interpersonal skills
• Must be creative and organized
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (primarily Word)
• Should have a firm grasp on public relations concepts (writing press releases, legal ads, basic copywriting, etc.)
