DescriptionThe Galvin Group, Inc is looking for an energetic, creative and talented Web Design Intern to work with us. Must be eager to make things that are as useful as they are beautiful (engaging web experiences for our users) and embrace brand consistency. You have a well-rounded understanding of web trends and a strong knowledge of user experience principles. You will assist our web design team in the creation of landing pages, logos, mobile apps, and other web assets as well as wireframes for page layout, brainstorming and organization. You must be very self-driven, but also have great teamwork and collaboration skills to interface with the rest of our design and marketing team.

Interns have full access to a town house in NYC and can work from there (location to be disclosed upon offer) Interns can also work remotely. Weekly meetings to take place on Fridays at 1PM are mandatory via video group chat. Platform (TBD)
Produce layouts in HTML incorporating web markup standards.
Slice and optimize web images.
Design within existing web content and maintain Uline's consistent look and feel.
Complete projects as a team, as well as individually.
Prior Adobe Photoshop and Dreamweaver experience.
HTML 4 and CSS 2 experience.
Excellent communication (written, oral, interpersonal) and organization skills.
• Undergraduate Degree in Design or equivalent
• College students in their Junior year or above also considered
• Must have online portfolio
• 0-3 years experience
• Good understanding of what Web Design trends
• Very well versed in Adobe Creative Suite
• Strength in layout, color and typography
• Highly personable and able to work in teams
• Ability to work under tight deadlines, and take ownership of tasks
