Management, Sales, and Marketing Internship
*** Assistant Gym Manager Intern
Unpaid Internship
Hours: 8-12/hours per week. Flexible Schedule to work around classes.

Responsibilities: Training and education provided.
This is a Management, Sales, and Marketing Internship. With that said, you will be acting and learning as the Assistant Manager Intern and be supervised by the Manager and Marketing Director. You will not be responsible for managing others. However, it will be important to make sure other staff is conducting their jobs correctly.

• Manage the gym. Make sure the gym is operating properly and stocked.
• Answer main office phone.
• Check main office voice messages and follow up with the messages.
• File paperwork as needed. Find and pull files as needed.
• Sell gym memberships to potential members and complete new member agreements.
• Input new membership agreements into computer programs.
• Schedule complimentary personal training sessions as well as schedule complimentary i-Lipo treatments.
• Compose and send out marketing email blasts to potential members as well as to current members.
• Post to Facebook.
• From time to time, tag nearby homes, businesses, and local areas with flyers.
• Make “cold calls” to potential members (leads) and schedule new membership appointments.
• Make calls to current members whom are late on payments or need to update billing information.
• Supply all members, potential members, staff, and anyone else with customer service.
• Answer member and potential member questions and concerns.
• Attend community events that we are involved with as needed (If the time works with your schedule).
• Plan and execute sales or member appreciation events.
