Internship in a nutshell:
This position is for qualified writers. Successful applicants will be responsible for generating relevant blogs posts relating to Manhattan real estate, night life, and events/activities, writing in a variety of voices, and understanding SEO optimization. This role will also work in tandem with our social media team to develop content ideas, update social media platforms, and support content initiatives.

Responsibilitieso 15+ hours/week out of our 425 Park Ave office
o School credit available
o Direct Report to CEO (Eric Barron)
o Develop, oversee and support the launch of www.ericbarron.com and all video/social media involved in its promotion
o ericbarron.com is going to launch as a video blog and contain educational information for both the B-B and B-C sides of the residential real estate industry
o Goal of doing 1-2 video interviews a week, both in person and through skype. Each video will have “bottom line” takeaways.
o Interviews will take place with industry “thought leaders” from around the world
o Intern responsibilities:
o Source interviewees for video interviews
o Developing of the website
o Assist with content, scheduling and pre-interview prep
o Assist with uploading, editing and distribution
o Assist with Eric Barron’s brand management on all social media outlets
o Assist with KWNYC brand positioning in the NYC marketplace

RequirementsUndergraduate student or recent graduate with a major in Computer Science, Journalism or related field
You’re energetic, enthusiastic, articulate, reliable and smart
You have good copywriting and editing skills
You know how to create interesting unique content that engages readers
You understand the principles of SEO and how to incorporate them into written content whilst maintain the creative voice required
Real Estate doesn’t bore you, it excites and/or intrigues you
You want to get a priceless recommendation for future employers
Undergraduate student or recent graduate with a major in Computer Science, Journalism or related field
Experience with Wordpress
Experience in Video Editing
