The Wantboards Rotational Program Intern will work with the Wantboards team to explore and pursue business opportunities within key focus areas. In this rotational program, the intern will have the opportunity to be involved in five different aspects of the business. The Intern will research new ideas, strategies, and marketing opportunities. He or she will also assist with organizational strategy and both online and offline marketing/communication materials and content. The intern is expected to apply creativity and personal initiative to help Wantboards fulfill its mission and expand its reach.

Responsibilities

[[ General Activities ]]
- Complete a rotation through at least 5 different business focus areas
- Contribute to the development of Wantboards as a whole
- Attend frequent meetings and training sessions with Wantboards leadership team members
- Provide timely and candid feedback about Wantboards operations and development
- Other duties as assigned

[[ Marketing Rotation Activities ]]
- Provide research assistance in various areas (ex: web/mobile ratings data, news clip aggregation, news coverage reports, vendor information, promotional campaigns, etc.)
- Participate in marketing team meetings and activities regarding strategic planning of the marketing and PR approach
- Assist in the creation and deployment of marketing collateral
- Provide support for marketing and community events at the office and off-site as well

[[Sales Rotation Activities]]
- Assist in the daily sales growth and development of the company
- Assist with efforts of new businesses enrollment
- Manage the needs of external customers
- Develop and analyze sales performance reports
- Conduct general sales operations activities
- Develop strong leadership and interpersonal skills

[[ Social Media/Content Rotation Activities ]]
- Manage Wantboards’ social media presence across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and Google+ and other social media platforms
- Produce content to be featured on the Wantboards blog and external sites
- Compile and analyze website analytics data for campaign decision support
- Research industry and online community trends and communicate findings effectively back to team
- Support data entry and reporting
- Identify and outreach to external online communities, social networks, and influencers relevant to Wantboards

[[ Corporate and Brand Strategy Rotation Activities ]]
- Systematic review of new entrants, competitor positioning, opportunities for partnering, joint venture, co-branding
- Identify key market trends, barriers to entry
- Analyze operational data in order to support decision making process.
- Solve operational problems, issues, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Support the team in various aspects that span from administrative duties to brainstorming, research, and creating pitch collateral

[[ Product Development Rotation Activities ]]
- Collaborate on ideas for Wantboards launches and features
- Strategize and write requirements and user experience documentation
- Facilitate site and application troubleshooting process
- Manage small pictures to production
- Conduct competitive analysis of other e-commerce sites
- Stay informed on trends in digital e-commerce and user experience
