Description

The Hillcrest Event Center is seeking individuals with the right analytical skills, this intern will also be responsible for generating the reports necessary to plan and evaluate marketing campaigns. You will partner with the marketing coordinator to identify opportunities and design programs to increase exposure and sales. The ideal candidate will bring a well-rounded business perspective to our campaign planning process.

Responsibilities

-Become knowledgeable with services provided by Hillcrest as well as the marketing philosophy that’s employed in selling them
-Become knowledgeable about the functional uses of our services, the markets to which they’re sold, the composition of our customer base, and the profiles of our competitors
-Analyze large amounts of primary research data and data from our internal databases in order to spot trends, identify connections, and draw actionable conclusions from single surveys and across different surveys
-Become familiar with the attributes of competitive products, the strategies used to market them, and the reason why customers buy them
-Investigate and develop new products and programs in current and evolving markets, which help to support corporate sales and profitability. Product management responsibilities
-Development of sales/marketing materials to enhance the sales of existing and new services, which are introduced on a regional, national, or international basis
-Spend time in the field working with our salespeople to gain market information and discover sales opportunities
-Use in-house software tools to create and update cloud-based dashboards that enable our stakeholders to access and interact with market research data

Requirements

-An undergraduate college degree in Market Research, Marketing, Business Mathematics, Marketing or related field
-Effective verbal and written communication skills
-The ability to work productively with frequent interaction with Manager
-Ability to dissect, interpret, and draw business-specific conclusions from large amounts of data
