Research Interns will gain valuable experience in quantitative and qualitative research, including surveys and focus groups, and political analysis. Interns will be directly involved with every stage of project development, including assisting with secondary research for proposals, helping to design survey instruments, interpreting data. In terms of hands-on research and analysis, this internship is most certainly substantive, and participating students leave the internship with solid research experience.
• Interns must be able to take initiative and work well without constant supervision to gain the most from this position. They will learn a great deal about specific polling methods, as well as how to analyze the results.
• The best match for this internship would be someone interested in survey and/or political research, marketing, public relations, or grassroots activism. We are not looking for a particular political identification or ideology, although prospective interns should be aware that we do work for numerous conservative candidates and groups. Superb writing and analytical skills are required, and some knowledge of statistics or polling is helpful, although not necessary.
This position is unpaid, but is a GREAT resume builder.
