DescriptionResort Homes of Florida(RHF) is an online marketing company specializing in the short-term vacation rental market. The business is based in Miami and operates out of CIC in Miami, an innovative co-working space. RHF is currently primarily focused on the Orlando, FL short term vacation rental market, with a portfolio of 500 homes published on 10 online channels and a website: www.resorthomesflorida.com . Additionally, a new web-based platform is in the beta phase to ultimately expose 50k+ homes to new target audiences worldwide. While the scope of the position may broaden based on job performance and business success, currently the responsibilities are as listed below.
Target Market: Travel agents and property managers for vacation rental properties worldwide
Position will support expansion of company by conducting market research and screening/curating potential vacation rental properties as they are added to a new B2B website for travel agents.
Company operates out of Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC), an innovative co-working space in Miami. http://miami.cic.us/
ResponsibilitiesSummary: This internship position will screen short term vacation properties worldwide based on a set checklist/screening methodology and add them to a database to help determine whether they should be added to a new B2B website for travel agents. The position may also develop based on evolving business requirements
Assist with the development of a checklist and screening methodology for scoring property managers (PM) and individual properties
Checklist may include cost of property, quality of photos, zip code/community, amenities, guest ratings, proximity to local attractions and more.
Using the checklist evaluate and score each PM and property in collaboration with development team and through searches of similar websites targeting consumers
Add the properties to a database
Participate in team meetings and group discussions with VillaKey
