Always be on the alert for potentially fraudulent job postings online - never send money to a potential employer.
DescriptionI am currently working on a book that will look at over 400 Restaurant Chains in the US including Quick Serve Restaurants (QSRs) to determine healthy menu choices. This position requires performing secondary market research and data analysis to collect and analyze menu choices across these restaurants.
I would ideally prefer a middle or high school student that wants to learn about how to conduct systematic market research. The candidate will also be able to learn about the process of publishing a book through Amazon Kindle.
Candidates are expected to have a working knowledge of how to research information on the Internet and basic Excel skills (Google Spreadsheet will work, if the candidate does not have MS Excel). The candidate will also have flex schedule (we can communicate over phone and skype).
Thanks for your interest.
ResponsibilitiesI will provide a list of restaurants and QSRs. The candidate is expected to look up each restaurant, get the menu information (add list of ingredients and nutritional information where available). Once the data has been complied, perform some basic analysis based on guidelines I will provide for organizing the foods into different "Healthy Choice" buckets.
The candidate can also work with me on the book writing and publication process.
RequirementsWorking knowledge of using the Internet to perform research
Basic Microsoft Excel (or Google spreadsheet)
