Arts Internship with B.E.A.T NYCBookmark This
B.E.A.T. (Bridging Education and Art Together) is an official 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in New York City.
We provide access to new, exciting, culturally relevant extracurricular programs and activities for urban youth in under served communities.
Our programs aim to build respect, teamwork, confidence and cultural awareness through a series of classes and programs for the arts in all forms, from music to visual arts and dance.
Beat Rockers: A beatboxing class for blind and visually disabled students launched in Fall 2010 at the Lavelle School for the Blind in the Bronx with Head Instuctor Taylor McFerrin.
Beat Breakers: A Bboy / Bgirl (breakdancing) class launched in Spring 2010 at the Bronx Academy of Letters with Program Director Ken Swift
A music production program taught entirely on the iPad2 launched Fall 2011 at the East Side Community High School in the east village with Head Instructor DJ Dhundee
We are currently looking for:

ResponsibilitiesThis could be considered a very hands-on internship. The most basic responsibilities for this position include:
-Completing design oriented tasks
-Helping to develop marketing ideas
-Be in charge of the social media aspect
