DescriptionThe BI-LO Center in Greenville, SC, seeks dedicated students interested in working as Marketing, Sponsorship and Group Sales Interns for one semester. Students desiring to work in the field of marketing, entertainment, sales and/or event planning will benefit from the various types of events held at the BI-LO Center. Transportation is the responsibility of the student and is required to fulfill duties of this position.
We are flexible with schedules due to the importance of a student’s dedication to studies and school activities, but ask that the interns are committed to the schedule agreed upon once the internships begin. A minimum of 20 hours per week would give a student ample exposure to the daily responsibilities and routine of the marketing department. Some weekend and evening hours may be required depending on the event schedule during a given internship.
This is a non-paid internship. However, we do offer stipends upon completion of assignment based on the commitment and dedication of the student. All students are reimbursed for mileage during their internship when duties call for errands to be run in personal vehicle.
20 hours per week minimum. We prefer full-time. This will give you great work experience and contacts as you enter the work force.

ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities & Duties:
** Creation of marketing and advertising materials – fliers, posters & group sales sheets
** Grass roots marketing
** Working with local businesses on ticket promotions
** Working at scheduled BI-LO Center events
** Assisting with the Group Sales Department by working with the Group Sales Manager to promote discounts to groups by calling on local companies, social groups, schools, churches and other various markets.
** Assist with updating contact information, spreadsheets & adding new contacts to the existing database.
** Organizing previous marketing and event files – into binders for future reference
** Deliveries and Errands to local businesses & customers (i.e. – The Greenville News, City Hall, Clear Channel Entertainment, etc.)
