Description

Sparkling Dry Cleaners is a mobile dry cleaning and laundry service primarily serving the Santa Clarita/Valencia area. Our business model with respect to marketing strategies is unlike the traditional dry cleaners.

The Marketing/Admin Intern will provide support and assistance to business owner with various on-going marketing efforts as well as administrative efforts including, but not limited to:

o Prepares mailers and brochures by formatting content and graphics; arranging printing and internet packages.
o Prepares marketing materials using MS Word, Excel and/or Powerpoint (fliers, monthly newsletters, bag drop kits, welcome letters)
o Organize dry cleaners’ marketing products and materials including implementation of such strategies on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
o Maintain and update customer database on MS Access
o Create and send out email blasts using Constant Contact
o Daily phone calls to customers
o Answer phones, generate various ad-hoc reports such as P&L, customer lists, etc.
o Must learn and eventually possess in-depth company knowledge
o Must possess excellent customer service skills

The marketing/admin intern will also assist in preparing various financial statements which will be used, among other things, for budgeting and forecasting, as well as strategic planning.


Responsibilities

• In order to gain in-depth knowledge of Sparkling Dry Cleaners, the marketing assistant must learn the operations side of the business. This includes, but not limited to:

o Bag Drops as a main source of acquiring new customers
o Receiving and tagging incoming orders
o Coordinating efficient driving routes, including picking up and dropping off customers’ orders; dropping off and picking up from the dry cleaning plant in Northridge
o Assembling the finished dry cleaning orders from the plant
o Pricing
o Payment processing

Requirements

Degree or on-going degree in Business Administration is preferred.

Customer service experience is REQUIRED.
