Our company, iFamilyKC, LLC, has been serving our community for over 11 years. We specialize in promoting Kansas City metro products, services, events and resources to local families with children. Our mission is to be THE resource for Kansas City Metro families by utilizing our monthly print publication distributed throughout the KC Metro area, our web site, email marketing, social media and face to face events to promote our advertisers to local families.

Your Benefits: You’ll work directly with the CEO, and experience working in a direct marketing business. Each week, we’ll set aside 15 minutes to specifically coach and counsel you on any business, or career to help you advance your personal and professional goals. Do a great job, and we’ll provide you a dynamite letter of recommendation and personal referrals to key contacts to further your career advancement. Develop a stellar professional portfolio of your work to show prospective employers. Save time and money by working from home and making your own schedule. Academic credit can be arranged for those who want or need it.

Location: This is a virtual internship! We are located in Overland Park, KS, but you can live and work from anywhere. Ideally we would like someone that lives close enough to meet for initial training and follow up with emails and weekly phone calls. But we are open to long distance internship for the right candidate.

Ideal Timeline: Start immediately. We are currently accepting applications for winter, fall, spring, and summer, so apply for one or all. We require a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week and at least 16 weeks.

Compensation: This is an unpaid internship, but the experience is priceless! With what you learn, you can immediately qualify and apply for higher paying jobs and have a better chance at getting them. This, combined with the other benefits listed above, creates a lifetime value of this internship.

The Client Service Coordinator will will learn how to place and manage advertising orders, set up new clients and facilitate print and online advertising accounts. This internship also includes getting experience in following up with customer care emails and calls, which could lead to additional sales and referrals. You will have an important voice in helping us develop better systems and practices to improve our customer service and make it as efficient as possible. Finally, you will gather customer testimonials for the immediate and future use of our company. The goal of this internship is to help us make our customers happy and continue to build our business. You’ll gain invaluable skills in research, writing, sales, customer service and more!


You are: An outgoing, enthusiastic people-person who enjoys working both independently and with our talented team. You have excellent communications skills and a basic knowledge and comfort in learning our customer service process. Most importantly, we are looking for interns with enthusiasm, dedication, a thirst for learning, and the self-motivation to work independently. You must be proficient with technology, Excel and Word, and have a computer, phone, internet access, and an email account. Applicants of any age (18-100) and any career and educational background can apply.
