Description

Elmcrest Children's Center is looking for Communications and Marketing Interns to work with the Director of Communications and Communications and Marketing staff. Elmcrest Children's Center is a multi-service treatment and education center for children with emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric disturbances along with children with developmental disabilities and serious medical conditions. Elmcrest is a community of caring professionals providing service to children with a variety of emotional, behavioral, and developmental limitations in order to help them overcome the barriers they present to success in their home, school and community.
The Elmcrest experience focuses on developing meaningful relationships in a teaching and learning environment which will enable each child regardless of age, gender, or circumstance to reach their optimum potential, point toward a productive future, and contribute to the success of their community.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
-Support the Communications Department with their fundraising events
-Develop promotional material for events including cover letters, sponsorship proposals, event programs, brochures, and other mailings
- Compile and organize event lists
- Develop strategic guide for social media

Requirements

Candidates must be highly motivated, creative and dependable. The position requires a strong knowledge of convergence, as well as strong written and verbal skills. Internship can be approved for academic credit. Requirements:
-Enrolled in a degree program in any of these areas: communications, public relations, marketing, advertising, graphic design, web design
- Access to transportation

Qualifications:
-Excellent written and verbal skills
-Ability to work independently
-Strong knowledge of social media
-Experience with web content management system (CMS) a plus but not required
-Design skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs a plus, including Microsoft Access, Excel, and Publisher
