Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a Marketing and Communications Intern to support critical marketing, communications, and external affairs efforts for a growing $66 million children and youth programs organization. This is an exciting opportunity for an undergraduate or graduate level student who wants to join an organization at a critical time in its history. We're embarking on a journey to uniquely position ourselves as a provider of transformational programs, with major initiatives including a spring gala, several upcoming events with Fortune 500 companies, and a full rebrand of our organization.

This role is a great chance to work with a motivated team and build your external relations professional skill set for the ever-growing nonprofit sector. You can also obtain university credit through the position, which is expected to be part-time with 20 working hours per week.

Responsibilities

Creating collateral for marketing purposes, including brochures, one pagers, and flyers
Support for social media marketing efforts, which may include development of new campaigns
Developing content and copy for our new website, which will be launched this spring
Marketing and logistical support for events
Managing several key projects for our rebrand, including the preparation of communications materials; development and installation of signage; and support for internal training and implementation of the brand
Other related tasks that may be assigned

Requirements

Experience with successful marketing, communications, and campaigns in a variety of contexts
Strong communication skills, written and verbal, and an inspirational story teller
Demonstrated organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
Experience with print and digital design is a plus
Ability to rapidly learn, improve, and respond to feedback
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
Emotionally mature and sensitive to cultural diversity
Minimum Bachelor's Degree candidate; preferably in marketing, communications, public affairs, and/or non-profit or business administration
