This volunteer opportunity is unique, with significant responsibility and a real chance to impact our organization. There is regular interaction with staff and constituents as well as flexibility to create your own initiatives. A successful intern will be self-motivated and someone interested in blending business acumen and social profit work.
As an intern, you will work directly with the Director of Development on projects related to development and communications. Specifically, the position provides valuable work-experience in an associate or coordinator level position, with management of projects and initiatives.

ResponsibilitiesDevelopment- Managing development related projects, assisting with events, liaising with donors, drafting correspondence, researching and preparing grants, researching funding opportunities, providing prospect research, managing donor databases, developing corporate and individual donor programs, and directly supporting the Director of Development.
Communications- writing regular press releases and articles for website, strengthening media relations, driving social media, creating marketing and event materials, and assisting with brand stewardship.
