Storman Academy is a high school preparatory which emphasizes strong academics and individual attention to every student within the school is our approach. Students are expected to seek higher education. We are seeking assistance with creating new marketing resources and developing a needs assessment around current and future marketing practices. As a small growing nonprofit, our needs are changing.


The Development and Marketing internship is a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to develop his/her writing and communication skills. The Development and Marketing Intern will have the opportunity to shape and grow the Academy’s growing marketing department. Projects vary and include, but are not limited to, lead generation; creation of marketing collaterals and education pieces, including research, copywriting, proofreading and design; development and implementation of marketing plans and communication strategies; internal/external messaging for web site, emails, and newsletters, manage and track all aspects of a marketing project from conception to completion, development of internal client relationships and effective communications to ensure a full understanding of marketing capabilities; working with vendors, as needed, to ensure development and delivery of creative collateral when outsourcing necessary; work closely with team members to meet the needs of the Academy. The Development and Marketing Intern will be charged with: providing updates to the Academy’s profiles on Facebook and Twitter (often promoting upcoming events, uploading photos, and sharing relevant news stories), maintaining and organizing the Academy’s LinkedIn and YouTube accounts, exploring additional technology avenues for the Academy and its members. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to learn more about the inner workings of marketing and communications within a non-profit organization.

Position Details
• No compensation
• 10 hours per week (days and times flexible depending on class schedule)

• Junior/Senior year of undergraduate study
• 3.0 overall grade point average or above
• 3.25 grade point average in degree courses
