Program: Greater Louisville International Professionals, an economic development and workforce initiative created in 2009 to support the process of welcoming and engaging international professionals in the business community. The organization has over 1900 members from 100 nationalities and is the region’s premier networking group of internationals/expats. GLIP organizes an average of 12 networking events, business panels, and information sessions each year aimed at increasing members’ international business contacts and multicultural awareness to keep at the front of Louisville’s increasingly global environment.More information available at
Description: Under general supervision, incumbent will work closely with program director and coordinator to update website content, post digital content on social media platforms, and assist with other marketing strategies to engage businesses and members. He/she will have numerous networking opportunities with a plethora of local and international businesses and trade groups to develop strong contacts, and his/her creativity and social media acumen will shape the future face of GLIP’s virtual presence.


• Manage social media content and update website information at least twice a week with program updates, events, photos, videos and any other relevant content as delegated
• Provide assistance and creative ideas to help our team engage and recruit members
• Provide ideas and insights to engage members with GLIP virtually
• Participate at all GLIP events to produce social media and website content.
• Assist GLIP coordinator with newsletter content
• Content editing and writing for website pages
• Attend in office training and meetings as required


High school diploma with an associate degree (or higher) plus two years of professional experience. The applicant may be enrolled in four year degree or more in marketing/business related field.
Applicant need to have access to internet, computer, and mobile devices to perform the job.

Must have excellent written communication skills in English and be highly proficient with website and digital technology and mobile marketing. Communication background preferred but not required. The ideal candidate is a student enrolled in marketing/business program at post secondary institution. Incumbent must be able to organize and coordinate multiple digital communication channels, develop and create website copyrighting content, understand social media marketing and have familiarity with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other emerging social media platforms. Must be detail oriented, creative, and demonstrate ability to work independently with limited supervision and fixed deadlines.
