Description

Through event planning program, students learn to organize and plan all aspects of business and social events, including the food, the location and the decor. Interns in this event-planning program learn about the use of marketing tools and advertising to promote events such as golf outings, weddings, special events, concerts and fundraisers. Since many event planners are self-employed or are responsible for finding customers, students learn to use marketing tools.

Responsibilities

-Choose an existing event or create a new event at the event center to implement
-Plan TV show filming and party planning
-Event Promotion and Marketing
-Event Design and Production
-Catering Management
-Weddings and Social Events
-Create a budget to implement the plan
-Create a presentation
-Submit the plan for approval by resort management
-Meet and present the event to local business to sponsor the event
-Execute the event

Requirements

- Team work
- Goal orientated

- Assist in managing presentation software
- Assist in management, research, communication and coordination of installations
- Assist during events and receptions
- Maintain website, blog and social media network presence
