Description

The Hester Street Fair, an outdoor specialty food and goods market in the Lower East Side, is looking for individuals in search of a unique internship focused on event production and marketing.

Started in May 2010, The Hester Street Fair is home to a weekly rotation of 60 unique vendors with an emphasis on local, artisanal, and handmade or collected. Our philosophy is to create a dynamic space where art, commerce, local food, and community intersect and thrive. Interns will be able to learn about all aspects of the company: marketing, event production, operations, publicity, and new business development.

This is a 3-month, unpaid internship starting immediately, requiring a commitment of 10-20 hours/week and a flexible schedule, as workdays will often coincide with our events. Requirements

Strict attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough, efficient research
Knowledge of the New York media, food, and restaurant landscape
Experience using social media networks (i.e. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
Well-versed in Google Docs, Microsoft Office Suite
Experience with HTML and Photoshop is a plus
