Description

All-Star Baseball Academy is a well-respected, national leader in the baseball training field with a focus on mentoring young athletes, while emphasizing the benefits of hard work, commitment and excellent training routines. ASBA offers individual and team training for players aged 5 – 18 at all five ASBA locations.

ASBA has recently created an internship opportunity for a dynamic Event Coordinator. The Event Coordinator will support our events and marketing programs. This person will work closely with ASBA marketing, special events and sales teams to implement event marketing materials at our special events that bring the ASBA brand and purpose to life. The role will also support the marketing, special events and sales team by providing assistance with event management, communication, design and more. The Event Coordinator reports to the Marketing Representative and will interact with members of the ASBA marketing, special events and sales team.

ASBA Academy offers Spring, Summer and Fall internships that typically last 12 weeks. All internships are unpaid for college credits (3 to 9 credit internships).

Internship Schedule: Spring (January - May); Summer (May - August); Fall (August - December)
Office Hours: 10am-3pm (flexible with student’s school schedule)
Events Hours: M-F 8am-5pm (students in internship will need to commit to attending a minimum of 4 events (8 days) through

Responsibilities:

Programs & Events
•Lead the implementation of event marketing at ASBA special events.
•Work with marketing, special events and sales teams to plan and execute all marketing activities necessary to ensure successful events.
•Secure marketing equipment & rentals as needed, set-up, tear-down, and help coordination of overall event execution.
•Ability to work nights and weekends.

Marketing & Communications
•Assist with creating, editing and publishing event marketing materials for special events such as sell sheets, upcoming event flyers, prize wheel graphics, etc.
•Help drive existing marketing programs through the ASBA website, email marketing and social media.
•Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Requirements:
•Enrolled in undergraduate, graduate or doctoral programs in sports management, marketing, sports business, hospitality and other related fields.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•Demonstrated leadership ability and the personality to work in a fast-paced environment.
•Interest in sports education
•Course credit documentation from your school/advisor
•Required to pass a drug and background screen
•Live within a commutable distance of Corporate Office in Chadds Ford, PA.
••Knowledge of baseball is desired
