Description

To gain experience in event co-ordination and the marketing and public relations activities of
Frontier (in the California Office), to raise awareness, promote expeditions, and assist in recruiting volunteers through telephone consultations and travel advice.

Responsibilities

Events:

Developing and maintaining relationships with schools and universities for fairs and presentations;
Event administration and travel logistics for staff attending;
Updating contact lists, including educational bodies, suppliers, media contacts, listings in books, websites, magazines and directories;
Office logistics – File / prepare Invoices. Read and review emails;
Presentations to school groups and representation at careers fairs and exhibitions.

Marketing:

Providing information and advice to potential volunteers;
Updating and maintaining Frontier’s online outreach strategies, including blogs and social networking sites;
Helping design and produce materials for Frontier presentations at schools and universities;
Proofing and editing website copy and all other written materials;
Helping write and design press releases, articles and promotional literature, and source suitable publications for promotion;
Edit and prepare Photo Library.

Requirements

Educated to degree level or in placement year

Experience of office work, design, copywriting and administrative processes

Working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint

Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills

Able to work as a team

Commitment to conservation
