DescriptionAt Campaigns & Elections, our goal is to provide our interns with a unique and well-rounded experience – partially shaped by the employees of the magazine and partially shaped by the intern. We welcome interns to take part in everyday life at C&E - brainstorming sessions, client meetings, conferences and editorial content. Our interns are not secretaries, they are a core and essential part of our team!
About Our Events: Political professionals, candidates, political junkies and all those involved in campaigns have been coming to Campaign & Elections seminars since 1983. Attendees come from all over the United States. In recent years, attendees have also come from Europe, Canada, Africa, Australia, Latin America... even Mongolia. Campaigns & Elections events are nonpartisan; we are the one place politicos come to learn and network from the best of the best, regardless of party affiliation.
ResponsibilitiesThe intern's primary focus will be to assist with event planning, event marketing, and organization for Campaigns & Elections magazine. Intern should be comfortable with Microsoft Office, social media (Twitter, Facebook , LInkedIn) and making phone calls. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite 5 a plus, but not required. Scheduling is flexible (3 to 5 days per week) and ideal for students interested in events/marketing/PR/magazine publishing.
RequirementsCampaigns & Elections is looking for a Marketing and Events intern to assist in planning and executing multiple events. Individual must be motivated, detail-oriented, responsible, timely and energetic.
Junior/Senior students preferred and a minimum of a 3.2 GPA is required. All internships are unpaid but we will gladly work with you to obtain credit at your college or university. Interested students should send a cover letter, resume and a writing sample to Megan at firstname.lastname@example.org.
