Description

The Department of Marketing & Public Affairs at Kingsbrook has an exciting internship position that reports directly to the Director of Marketing & Public Affairs. The Public Affairs intern is responsible for the coordination of all community events (internal and external) which includes scheduling, coordination of staff, community and elected official notifications for all events via mailings, calls and bulletin board promotion, packing and preparation of promotional items for each event, screening form quantification, filing and reporting, as well as media alert notifications re: same.
it is essential that the intern be integral to the promotion of our Speakers Bureau, calling and mailing information to community partners re: same, researching available staff members for participation and inclusion, as well as expanding the community partner list on a weekly basis.
The Public Affairs Intern will also be responsible for the Community Information Line checking messages and returning calls re: special screening events.

Requirements

Intern candidates should be enrolled in an accredited graduate school program for Public Health, Public Affairs, Marketing or Communications.
