DescriptionMiami Job Corps Center is a publically funded youth career training program. We serve youth age 16-24 at entry. Job Corps is 50 years old this year and is the premier program for young people this age needing assistance transitioning from high school to college, military, advanced training, or the workforce. Miami Job Corps is operated by ResCare Inc., through contract with the US Department of Labor.
This position is an unpaid internship, marketing the program to employers in South Florida, developing relationships with employers, and helping establish internship opportunities for young graduates completing their training in Culinary Art, Office Administration, Facility Maintenance, Carpentry, Painting, Computer Specialist, and Nursing Assistant. Internships would preferably be paid and last for 6 to 8 weeks. Internships help young people to get experience in the community and assist in transitioning to full time employment.
