Through event planning program, students learn to organize and plan all aspects of business and social events, including the food, the location and the decor. Interns in this event planning program learn about the use of marketing tools and advertising to promote events such as golf outings, weddings, special events, concerts and fundraisers. Since many event planners are self-employed or are responsible for finding customers, students learn to use marketing tools.
Choose an existing event or create a new event at the event center to implement.

Create a budget to implement the plan

Submit the plan for approval by resort management
Meet and present the event to local business to sponsor the event
