DescriptionMarketVision Gateway is the industry leader in market research data collection. We research new and innovative products for clients around the world. MVG facilities are located inside Universal Studios Orlando, FL which provides the demographic mix our clients seek. Our quantitative product testing, focus groups, and one-on-one qualitative interviews assure the validation needed in collecting accurate data for our clients to analyze.
MVG will work within the college’s internship guidelines so that students may gain course credit for their participation. The internship will be paid by a stipend which is distributed out twice- ($125) at the half way point and ($125) at the successful completion of the internship. Interns invest the required amount of time as specified by their college-typically 15-20 hours per week. The program will span from May 9th through June 30th . Upon successful completion of the internship the student will have a great lift to their resume, may gain course credit, receive a valuable letter of recommendation and certificate of completion, have the possibility of a job offer, and be able to connect with MVG on LinkedIn.com. ResponsibilitiesThose selected will get hands-on experience in field research and market research studies by taking part in the market research project life cycle. Interns will be able to experience and learn about the following:
-MVG structure and company culture
-Watch how a market research study bid is conducted & participate in client/project briefings
-Quality checks, data collection and project programs
-Experience “behind the scenes” set up/break down of projects, staffing needs and how scheduling is done
-Train on how to conduct study interviews along with the chance to administer real interviews
-Video conference with the sales team to learn how clients are obtained
-Learn about how surveys are structured and how data is analyzed
-Have the opportunity to screen individuals for studies we are conducting including taste tests
-Learn about specific quotas for various projects and have the opportunity to validate study participants
-See firsthand how a focus group is conducted and how video research is collected
-Develop and enhance work ethic, team building skills, communication and presentation skills
-Social media marketing elements including blogging, audience engagement, research and video creation
Interns will finish the internship having gained a good understanding of what a career in Market Research project management looks like. Students will have better appreciation of what a high quality data collection company does to ascertain accurate consumer information along with knowledge on how world class packaged goods manufactures listen to their customers. Students will have a great addition to their resume by having real world work experience in a top tier professional environment.

RequirementsInterns must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in combination with a strong desire to learn and apply new skills. We prefer that student interns receive credit through their college for internship participation but this is NOT a requirement.
Degree focus should be any of the following: Marketing, Business Administration, Sales and Advertising, Communication, International Business, Project Management, Small Business Entrepreneurship or Business Management.
