DescriptionDr. Wayne Lee is a highly-acclaimed; Double Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon practicing in the Tampa Bay Area. He specializes in both plastic and reconstructive surgery. He also operates a non-profit program called Return 2 Fitness. The program is designed to help his breast reconstruction patients regain their strength and assist with their health and fitness needs. Return 2 Fitness, which is also open and free to any cancer survivor, is held once a month at the Seffner YMCA from 7pm to 9pm and features a certified personal, registered dietician, as well as food and snacks by a local organic bistro.
Wayne Lee MD Plastic Surgery is looking for a Marketing Assistant intern who can prepare and attend Return 2 Fitness. Additionally, the Marketing Assistant would aid the Office Manager/Marketing Coordinator by working with the all parties involved, i.e. YMCA, trainer, dietician, and bakery each month. The Marketing Assistant would also help with increasing awareness and attendance, as well as marketing the program to existing patients, and developing partnerships with local businesses to further establish the program. This position is unpaid and the individual must be available for a minimum of 10 hours per week.
ResponsibilitiesAssist Office Manager/Marketing Coordinator with organizing Return 2 Fitness
Work with Registered Dietician on nutritional topics for each session
Develop new fitness ideas with Certified Personal Trainer
Coordinate dates and location of Return 2 Fitness
Market Return 2 Fitness to patients, YMCA members, referring doctor offices, hospitals, etc
Establish partnerships with local businesses to cross market and promote Return 2 Fitness
Work with website agency to promote Return 2 Fitness via website, direct email, and social media
Assist Office Manager/Marketing Coordinator with developing strategies to increase awareness of program
RequirementsCollege student or graduate majoring in marketing.
Attention to detail and great organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher
Professional attire may be required
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Energetic, outgoing and positive attitude.
Business networking and personal selling experience a plus
Available for a minimum of 10 hours per week
