dlr | marketing, inc. is a hands-on resource for businesses and organizations in need of strategic marketing services. Drawing upon 25+ years experience in consumer, b2b, retail, institutional and tourism marketing, our purpose is to help clients navigate the ever-changing marketplace with a targeted plan and smart, powerful communications. We use our core areas of expertise including strategic planning, action plan and budget development, market research, brand building, integrated multi-platform marketing to include traditional and digital media, traditional public relations and social media, event marketing, and sponsorship/partnership development to help a wide range of clients.


Responsibilities


This is a terrific opportunity for a motivated student who wants exposure to a strategic approach to marketing and a broad range of communications tools. Intern would be involved in day-to-day servicing of clients needs with some administrative responsibilities. Hands-on experience could include:
• Online Research
• Brainstorming
• Tactical Plan Development
• Creation of content and copy for various communications, such as:
- Positioning & Messaging
- Websites using Word Press
- eNewsletters & eBlasts
- Social media posts
- Blogs
- Press releases
- Print ads & collateral
• Event planning related to organizing regional arts event
• Design experience (if majoring in design related studies) related to various communications as noted above

Requirements


We are looking for an energetic intern who is eager to learn all aspects of marketing and who has the following skills:
• Interest in marketing, advertising, communications
• Desire to learn, resourceful and creative
• Ability to multi-task in a busy work environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
• Dependable, self-motivated and pro-active with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
• Detail & Deadline orientated
• Good organizational skills
• Proven computer skills (word, excel, internet)
• Additional skills including research experience or graphic design experience a plus.
