The responsibility of the marketing coordinator is to create sales, lead-generation and brand awareness opportunities by effectively managing and coordinating tradeshows and events. The marketing coordinator is also responsible for provide the sales support materials such as selling guides, presentations, pricing guides. The marketing coordinator is responsible for tracking event performance metrics and marketing costs.

Primary Duties Responsibilities

Event management – Work with marketing leadership to establish event objectives, evaluate new show/event opportunities, manage event logistics and measure event ROI.

Research – Provide competitive analysis to ensure we have intelligence about our overall market, identify new prospective clients and add to database

Sales support – Work with the sales and marketing teams to develop sales support materials including but not limited to presentations, selling guides, giveaways, and collateral as needed

Budget Tracking – On-going tracking and reporting of marketing expenditures against budget

Performance Monitoring – Tracking and reporting of event marketing key performance indicators

Tasks include:
- Drive all event planning process, manage and coordinate sales and marketing requirements through all phases; pre, during and post events
- Hands on packing/organizing of materials, prep and coordination of shipping and receiving materials
- Manage all relationships with associations to ensure membership is up-to-date and NES Financial brand properly represented within associations
- Manage all event and related budgets and expenses, assist in managing overall marketing budget
- Manage all tradeshow/event material inventories including exhibit booths, signage, banners, presentations, collateral, displays and giveaway
- Manage hospitality events as necessary
- Coordinate and manage collateral and support materials
- Develop sales tools such as presentation, emails, collateral, and case studies
- Research and obtain target market contact information


- Recent college graduate with marketing or business degree preferred
- Previous work experience in event coordination or marketing program desiredDemonstrated experience in project management
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office Products
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Results driven person with strong problem solving and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail, self-motivated and able to multi-task
- Excited about working in a dynamic start-up environment

Work Schedule
- Full-time
- Location: Downtown San Jose
- $15.00 per hour
