OVERVIEW OF THE DEPARTMENT
As part of the Audience Development department, you will assist with SpinMedia’s strategic partnerships, user acquisition, and retention marketing.
You will learn more about traffic exchange partnerships, content syndication, paid user acquisition, and social media marketing. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the editorial teams at multiple SpinMedia properties to hone your writing skills and have your work published.
Join brainstorm sessions and contribute creative ideas
Write and publish articles for multiple SpinMedia properties relating to our marketing partnerships
Monitor and track performance of our partnerships and user acquisition
Light photo editing
Assist with social media properties, when needed, including Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, Google+, and Vine
Assist with crafting PR campaigns for Celebuzz, when needed
We are seeking intelligent, creative, driven and detail-orientated individuals with excellent communication & interpersonal skills. You should have a deep love of all things pop culture and a strong desire to learn in a dynamic & fun environment. Have an understanding of social media and best practices, and preferably use it personally on a regular basis. An interest or major/minor in marketing, public relations, journalism, or communications, a desire to learn marketing and audience development, contribute to the team and a positive and enthusiastic attitude are essential, as are knowledge and expertise in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Photoshop.
INTERN(S) MUST RECEIVE ACADEMIC CREDIT TO BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN SpinMedia's INTERNSHIP PROGRAM.
