DescriptionVolunteer Coordinator Intern needed for nonprofit organization!
With guidance from the Volunteer Director, the Volunteer Coordinator Intern will be responsible for volunteer marketing at the national level. The Volunteer Coordinator Intern will recruit volunteers in the hopes of them implementing projects and programs in their local communities. The focus of this internship is to market these volunteer opportunities to cities across the nation.
This internship is great for those majoring in communications, public relations, marketing, business administration, health education, public health, or nonprofit/public administration. Other majors are welcome to apply as duties can be adapted to coincide with your career goals!

ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities of this internship will go well beyond that of a typical intern experience. There will not be photocopying, coffee runs, or other menial tasks; you will plan and carry out important, large-scale projects that directly benefit the organization's mission and goals. Thus, you will develop real-life skills that can be demonstrated to future employers.
-Minimum of 10-15 hours per week; hours are flexible and done as a combination of in-person meetings and telecommuting
-Minimum of one semester (~6 month) commitment
-Daily computer access for internet and email (must be able check and respond to emails AT LEAST once per day, Monday - Friday)
-Strong writing skills are crucial
