Description

To assist the Sales & Marketing Director and team in day-to-day activities to maximize venue brand identity and serve awareness within local consumer and corporate communities. You will help develop and implement strategic outreach campaigns to develop RSLA's brand in various circles, companies, and cultural communities.

Responsibilities

Communications & PR:
To assist with creation and distribution support on promotional material and newsletters. This will include brochure and flyer distribution and emailing newsletter to RSLA database. Flyer distribution one day per week.
Assist with development of social network sites and website maintenance.
Duties and activities include maintenance of media database in conjunction with Web team, research and development of new relationships with local/regional print/electronic media, online market research, Eblast campaigns, RSLA blog support, RSLA twitter/Facebook feed support and other needs with regard to New Media marketing to develop the RSLA brand identity.
Monitor and report on all sites such as yelp, google, etc for reviews and venue postings.
Identify online forums and groups to invite and participate in events and outreach through viral marketing.
Submit website to online resources such as calendars, venue and event directories assisting with SEO efforts.
Collect and catalogue photo & video library for use in web, social, and print
Collect customer contact information for in put into database and for newsletter distribution.
Develop press releases and support Marketing Director with press follow up.
Stay up to date on upcoming local events and related programs to allow for marketing team to outreach and participate where appropriate.

Partner Program
You will help setup and manage the alliance program including the alliance relationships and affiliate program creating new leads and following up on all existing relationships.
Phone follow up and outreach to alliance groups and corporate parties booking groups
for in house events & promotions.
Help with partner and group recruiting efforts. Build database, send and respond to emails, direct response, and phone follow ups.
Setup marketing promotions and help drive success.
Assist with in house events in various capacities - program creations, execution, ticket sales, and entertainment etc.
Help develop marketing plan for upcoming season.
Assist with and perform any other duties as needed or assigned by Sales & Marketing Director.

In House Events & Research
Assist with all RSLA in house events and promotions.
To give support to third party industry events, which may include attendances a RSLA representative.
To support Sales & Marketing with recruitment of corporate and interest groups for events.

Administration & Internal Support
To help maintain RSLA database of members and guests.
Issuing thank you letters to group bookings and VIP guests
Weekly report to Sales & Marketing Director

Requirements

Students interested in field of marketing, sales, communications and PR.
CumulativeGPA of 2.5 or above
Must enjoy working in public sector
