Worldwide Speakers Group (WWSG) is an innovative agency dedicated to providing an unprecedented and unparalleled level of service in the speaker industry, creating comprehensive strategic solutions that achieve client goals and forge a lasting impact with audiences. Through our Internship Program at WWSG, we are able to provide an exciting environment in which an intern will experience real-world working situations and execute substantive projects while gaining valuable knowledge and insight. The intern will develop professional practices that will aide him or her in a post-graduate job search.
The Marketing Intern will report directly to our Director of Marketing, who will serve as a mentor and manager. Interns will also receive a letter of recommendation at the end of their tenure which will highlight strengths of the individual. Any materials generated during the course of the internship may function as a valuable takeaway or supplement to a professional portfolio. An intern can expect exposure to Salesforce, Wordpress, Hubspot, Exact Target, Conga, and Photoshop among other current software.
WWSG is unique in the opportunities and amenities that it is able to offer. As a primary representative for many of the world’s current thought leaders, WWSG is able to offer uncommon access to these remarkable people who will often pass through the office. In addition, our office sits on the bank of the Potomac River, and the in-office gym has views of the Washington Monument and the Capitol Building. WWSG is able to offer a weekly stipend of $250 to cover living expenses.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
-Generating collateral materials for internal and external use
-Generating and posting website content
-Helping with inbound marketing efforts
-Writing and posting blog articles
-Outreach via social media to promote speakers and engage clients
-Managing database records within Salesforce
-Corresponding with clients and speakers
-Uploading video and podcasts to the website and blog
-Helping implement Google AdWords campaigns
Deadlines: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with the following cutoffs for receiving applications.
Fall Intern: September 20 Spring Intern: January 3 Summer Intern: April 11
WWSG is able to offer a weekly stipend of $250 to cover living expenses.

-Business/marketing or communications major preferred, though not required
-GPA of at least 3.0 and Junior or Senior standing
-Ability to commit to a minimum of 30 hours a week in office
-Living arrangements commutable to Alexandria, VA
-Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite mandatory
-Strong communications skills
-Sense of humor and pleasant demeanor
-Self starter who can work well with minimal supervision
-Experience with Photoshop is a plus
-Overachiever mentality is a plus
-Knowledge of current events and major news headlines is a plus
