Digital Marketing Intern
Be an integral part of launching a consumer brand's social presence from the ground up! Extend A Step and Pro Pong Tables (Boston-based manufacturers of innovative high-end home goods) are seeking candidates for a 3 month marketing internship. You'll be with us from concept through implementation of media planning, blog and tweet composition, hosting online contests, etc.
You'll be working one-on-one with a team that's placed consumer products on Groupon, Google Offers in SkyMall Magazine, Fab.com and more. You'll learn a lot, leave a lasting impact and be considered for full-time employment working in this very startup-oriented web-based culture.
This internship is unpaid - college credit optional and could transition to full-time. An end of program bonus stipend may be provided commensurate to successful completion of the internship program and launch of the marketing campaign.
We allow remote work or access to our swanky office digs in Boston. Casual, yet professional dress code encouraged.
ResponsibilitiesWriting product ad copy
Assisting with product ad design and photo shoots
Assist with re-launch of brand website and e-commerce strategy
Develop a marketing and messaging calendar through Holiday, 2013
Develop email templates/sales and promotional messaging
Develop and launch brand awareness/social media marketing strategy (Facebook, Twitter, Google+)
Search engine optimization and web-placement strategy
Connecting with prospective retailers and strategic alliances (bloggers/product reviewers, media outlets, deal a day sites, etc.)
RequirementsUndergraduate or graduate student in marketing, business and related areas of study.
Can demonstrate interest in the online marketing space (familiar with related websites, blogs, knowledge of trends/statistics, consumer brands and home-goods products)
Strong marketing communication and writing skills, particularly in online environments
Available for a minimum of 10 hours per week
Computer skills: We use Google Docs and Google Apps (Gmail-based email/calendar sharing, etc.)
Basic knowledge of WordPress, Photoshop, Google AdWords and SEO tactics is a plus, but not essential
