Description

The Educational Information and Resource Center (EIRC) is seeking an intern for the Fall 2014 semester. The intern will report directly to the Marketing Director and provide marketing and communications assistance as requested. This is a part-time unpaid internship position and academic credit is required.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:
• Assist in the execution and development of social media campaigns
• Provide assistance in the distribution of press releases and develop a strong relationship with media outlets
• Assist marketing director with data research and analysis
• Develop advertising campaigns and proposals for various departments
• Coordinate media schedules and collect media kits from outside vendors
• Assist with the development of internal marketing strategies
• Provide additional assistance as needed.

Requirements

Requirements:
• Junior or Senior undergraduate or Graduate student working towards a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field
• Minimum cumulative GPA: 3.0
• Able to provide 10-15 hours of work per week for a 12-16 week period (3-4 months)
• Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Additional Skills/Preferences
• Graphic Design and experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop a plus
