DescriptionThe Conrad-Caldwell House Museum is a historic home located in Old Louisville. Restored to its Gilded Age glory in 1987, it has been open to the public ever since. The museum is seeking an energetic, thoughtful intern to help propel us into social relevance through newer and broader PR and marketing approaches .
ResponsibilitiesPress Release Drafting and Distribution
Connecting with Media Outlets
Conduct guided Museum Tours.
Assist with Gift Shop Activities.
Field General Museum Inquiries.
Assist with Special Events and Exhibits.
Social Media Updates
Advertisement Creation and Event Promotion
RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, an excellent phone manner, experience with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and other commonplace social media platforms, and a positive attitude. Having good web design, graphics or journalism knowledge is likewise very desirable. We ask that all applicants be rising college sophomores or older.
This position is 10-20 hours a week and is unpaid, but we can try and work with you to get college credit. The intern must work from the offices of the Conrad-Caldwell House Museum.
