We are looking for a Marketing and PR intern for the launch of a public art project on May 1st.
MARK-IT is a unique App-based participatory Art experience that invites people living in New York to join a communal art-making experience. Using their movements in the urban landscape of New York, they create a virtual drawing at the scale of the city.

The project will launch in May as part of the New Museum Ideas City festival and will last one month.
After New York, MARK-IT will travel in 8 other cities around the world, inviting people to draw the portrait of the city they live in. The project will close with a gallery show of the 9 drawings created in NYC in the Fall 2014.
We are looking for a dynamic, creative and highly motivated individuals, eager to learn marketing, PR and project management skills by assisting our team in the launch of the App.
This is a flexible position, you can work from home every once in a while if necessary.
This is an unpaid internship. You will get a chance to learn a ton about the art industry, get hands on experience in PR and meet art world influential people.

finding press contacts to add to meda outreach list
assisting in reaching out to bloggers and publications (this will be the bulk of time spent and where you will learn the most valuable experience)
be present on-site at the New Museum during the Ideas City weekend
managing facebook, twitter, instagram and vine
coming up with creative content
love Art and new technologes
be very creative and always coming up with new ideas
read magazines and art blogs
WRITING SKILLS a major plus, as well as graphic design and photoshop knowledge.
Creative Suite skills also a major plus.
