DescriptionBLUE BIGFOOT MEDIA is seeking 1-3 people for Marketing Internships to help learn about the new shift in digital media marketing, how market our products, SEO, and drive inbound leads through our clients' websites, targeted advertising, marketing campaigns, and events. This technology is new, and shifting so quickly, textbooks cannot keep up. You won't learn this in a classroom. Good news is that this is a virtual position which means you can work from home.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play a crucial role in the fast and exciting growth of our early-stage digital media start-up. We will only consider the most talented candidates who clearly demonstrate a real passion for marketing and what we do. It won’t be easy. We work extremely hard, at an incredibly fast pace and we expect the best. Please note: This is not a "fetching coffee" type of internship. This internship is for bright and motivated emerging professionals that have some experience and a lot of interest in this field. You will learn a lot about the new shift in digital media marketing.
*Develop a strong understanding of company’s products and services
*Develop detailed marketing plans
*Develop campaigns to drive inbound leads
*Manage and Contribute to Social Media Outlets: Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, Pinterest, and blog
*Coordinate marketing events and conference attendance
*Develop, implement and optimize SEM for current vertical internet sites.
*Manage all CPC/PPC bids for existing sites on Search Engines.
*Manage all keyword programs including back end analysis.
*Create all ad copy and monitor performance of different creative.
*Create geo-targeted campaigns.
*Create and manage mobile campaigns.
*Place and track advertising to drive inbound leads - Adwords
*Perform online keyword research based on business need
*Identify opportunities to attract backlinks to business Websites (aka "link building")
*Interpret Google Analytics data
*Write website meta data based on keyword research
*A/B and multivariate testing
*Write website copy
*Perform market research through interviews, focus groups and surveys
RequirementsIdeal candidates will meet the following qualifications:
*Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or other related field.
*Past experience of MARKETING, SEO/SEM, and PPC(not required, but a plus)
*Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS (not required, but a plus)
*Solid writing skills
*Have experience or coursework in marketing and/or web technology.
*Have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience with Google Analytics or similar web analytics apps is a big plus.
*Be technology literate. Tech geeks welcome!
*Be a fast learner with a good attitude.
*Be available for 20 or more hours per week for the next 2-4 months
**While previous knowledge in all of the noted areas is preferred, we will train you to fill in the gaps so don't worry if you don't have all the skills listed.
