Mingle Around is heading to Knoxville!
Single life will never be the same in Knoxville again, and we want YOU to be part this!

Mingle Around hosts fun singles events, social parties, networking mixers and of course we offer upscale, elite matchmaking for our members.

We are based out of Chicago but are growing rapidly, bringing our fun singles mixers with us. Interns must be social, friendly and have a strong belief in LOVE!

You must be able to dedicate 10-15 hours per week, be able to work well with others and have a creative spark in you. 50% of your work will be from home/school and the rest of the time will be spent marketing "on the field", learning how to find & negotiate with sponsors & venues and helping to set up events.

This is an unpaid internship, but the option to host the events (and get paid) & sell tickets (not mandatory) is available.


What you'll learn & skills you'll sharpen:

-Event Planning (from finding a great venue to picking out the table clothes and designing the invites)
-Event Management (it's more than just a party, you'll learn the ins & outs of before & after event management as well as how to manage the details during an event)
-Marketing (you'll have the chance to come up with fun marketing campaigns and pitch ideas to the team)
-Writing a great press release (Let's see if you can get them interested in what we have going on!)
-Social Media Marketing
-Sales
-Research
-other duties as needed

Responsibilities

You'll be interning on average 5-10 hours per week from home on projects that can range from updating our social media, researching new marketing trends, reaching out to journalists, updating our media list and brainstorming creative marketing plans.

An estimated 5 hours per week will be assisting at events, attending networking functions, canvassing and promoting. You will also be meeting with the other interns weekly and skyping with the founder of Mingle Around on your weekly findings.
Some market research may be asked of you as well as following up with sponsors, clients & guests.

There is opportunity to be paid to HOST events and commission to be made off of ticket sales for events if you wish to pursue- not mandatory.

Though this is unpaid, we take care of our interns. You'll be able to attend upscale networking functions, with tickets purchased by us- a great way to meet potential future employers. We supply coffee, food & beverages during events and outings. Occasional bonuses and surprises are always a fun way to celebrate great ideas- and we love giving them! After the internship is over, we'll be enthusiastic about helping you find a great position with us or someone else, we'll help with college credit and if you loved us, you're welcome to apply to work for us in Knoxville or another one of our cities! If you wind up writing (blogging) for us and we publish your writing, we'll be happy to link to your personal or professional blog and you can use us for reference.

Requirements

Requirements-
Smarts & Personality and the desire to achieve.
We host many events in upscale clubs & lounges, so being comfortable in that environment is a must.
