Looking to get real world online experience? Classical Wisdom Weekly, an affiliate of Agora Inc., is looking for an intern to work with our team on developing and implementing effective marketing and public relations strategies. The work can be done from anywhere and will involve building relationships and links in different online and print publications around the world.

Classical Wisdom Weekly is an online publication that seeks to promote the Ancient Greek and Latin Classics. Our previous intern was eventually hired full time, so if you love writing and the Classics, this would be an excellent way to enter the workplace. The project director was previously working in public relations and will be able to help train as well as provide future contacts.

Candidates must have excellent writing skills, native-level English, and independent working abilities. Candidates must be self-motivated and ambitious. Knowledge of the Ancient Greek or Latin classics is a plus.

The internship would involve increasing the awareness of Classical Wisdom Weekly and our products in online and print publications. This would involve making contact with different journalists, writers, bloggers, etc and encouraging the publication of articles about Classical Wisdom Weekly.


- Write Press Releases For products about to be released
- Find ways to write articles about Classical Wisdom Weekly - what we are doing, trying to do
- Establish key publications, authors, journalists and bloggers to target
- Make contact/ establish relationship
- Send article and article ideas to them (liaise with the media)
- Monitor Success
- Use Twitter as well for establishing contact with journalists
- Find print advertising costs/parameters

- Set up interviews
- Find conferences, exhibitions, museums, etc to take part in
- Promotional Videos/pamphlets/descriptions
- Market Research


All applicants must be comfortable making contacts with various media outlets and promoting the Classical Wisdom Weekly brand. Any previous knowledge of online marketing or of the ancient classics is recommended but not required.

Finally, while this is a virtual internship, applicants who live in the New York City area would be encouraged to coordinate with our Associate Editor who is based out of Manhattan.
