DescriptionCoreDigitalWorks, a Madison Avenue based fast growing Digital Media and Content Management Product Company, is looking for Social Media Marketing interns with a focus in product marketing. The position of a SMM Intern (stipend paid – transportation and essentials covered) is a great way to build experience and develop skills within the Social Media Marketing sector for individuals concentrating on product development/marketing/communications/PR fields. Needless to say, the sector is the leading mover within the Online and Interactive Marketing fields. You will participate extensively in a variety of SMM projects (international, multicultural, technology based, etc.).
You will learn a lot about Social Media Marketing, however we would prefer to talk to candidates with some level of experience with Social Media (and are comfortable writing about products in the tech/social media space). You will work with experienced marketers and learn how they tackle challenges and manage projects. You will learn new methodologies, new tools, and new marketing tactics and strategies – you will become an expert at Social Media Marketing!
Minimal, if any, administrative duties – our focus and your goal is to do as much on real client projects as possible. Your responsibility will be to write, interact (mostly via Internet – social nets and blogs), do research (mostly online), and create reports. ResponsibilitiesAreas of Support and Involvement:
*Search Engine Marketing and Search Engine Optimization (only basic skills are necessary)
*Social Media Marketing (blogging, research, interactions, social profile creation and updates, sentiment monitoring and tracking, reporting, etc.)
*Customer retention and demand generation (you have to be creative and courageous)
*Website/customer analysis and feedback support
*Client community involvement, management, and support
*Research related to specific industry segments (tech knowledge/experience a huge plus)
*Must be able to commute to NYC
*We assume that you have a notebook (PC or Mac)
*Strong writing and oral communication skills; Detail oriented, yet creative and ‘scalable’
*Basic knowledge of the tech/media/content marketing space
*Strong editing skills
*Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet scheduled deadlines
*Excellent organizational and analytical skills
*Ability to manage time effectively
*Competent computer, Internet, and Social Media skills (excel, word, PowerPoint, knowledge of social media environments – Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Vimeo, Blogging, etc.)
*A strong desire to learn (and learn quickly, while transferring your skills to others, including company principles)
*Ability to work well independently and within a team environment (may include onshore and offshore resource management assignments)
*Fluent English is a MUST, mastery of other language is a big PLUS
