Overview of Company:

Rosemary Grove is a fair trade store in St. Louis, Missouri. The store sells handmade purses, jewelry, accessories, home decor, musical instruments and stationary. A substantial part of Rosemary Grove's business model has to do with educating customers about the importance of consumer demand. When a customer purchases a fair trade gift, he/she is supporting a large group of dedicated people who are working to eradicate poverty. Dollars spent on fair trade items here in the US are empowering, liberating & life-saving to many women and girls who are born into unfortunate circumstances in marginalized communities across the globe.

Currently, Rosemary Grove is expanding its online e-commerce presence and introducing a direct sales distribution system. The new distribution system includes Independent Sales Reps who sell Rosemary Grove's fair trade products through home parties, a personalized website, social media, trade shows and fundraisers. The Independent Sales earn 20% sales commission (plus bonuses) on the Rosemary Grove products she/he personally sells.

Internship Description:

1. Rosemary Grove is looking for virtual interns who will increase online product sales by target marketing specific individuals and online groups who fit the fair trade consumer profile.

2. In addition to increasing sales from Rosemary Grove's e-commerce website, interns will be targeting individuals who will represent Rosemary Grove as an Independent Sales Representative in the direct sales division.
There will be on-going training and guidance for interns.


1. Local and national target marketing will be conducted via media exposure, non-profit fundraisers, Google Search, Google Groups, Meetups, blogs and all social media platforms. Interns will work directly with the CEO of Rosemary Grove, Sarah Wood.

2. Interns are responsible for communicating the Independent Sales Representative business opportunity accurately and screening candidates according to Rosemary Grove's standards. Interns will work directly with Rosemary Grove's Vice President of Field Development, Jennifer Haefner.


Experience (coursework) with online research and social media marketing necessary.
Knowledge of the Fair Trade industry is helpful but not necessary.
