Connections

Description

We are a small t-shirt start-up that promotes not only our product but the message behind it: positive thinking.

If you want to learn about a small business, how to market and advertise it, research the market and selling opportunities, and you are also a positive person who connects to what we stand for, then please contact us.
Opportunities:
1. Expand our social media presence: I’m currently only on FB and Twitter and to a small extent. We need to research more sites to associate with in FB. We need to establish ourselves in other ways such as through instagram, etc. The person will present to me possibilities and then work on developing those campaigns/pages.
2. We need a BLOG! And we need presence in other blogs. We are gearing up for a Kickstarter campaign in Sept and need to spread the word through bloggers.
3. Youtube: we will be posting our video there shortly but we will need to regularly update our youtube channel and get exposure. The intern will need to research best youtube practices to gain a fan base.
4. For those interested, I have ample sales opportunities: getting a list of yoga/meditation studios and contacting them in person (requires travel around Jersey and NYC) to promote our products and try to place our t-shirts with those studios that carry merchandise. You may also opt to help at fairs and fests, if you choose to do so.
5. We also need to do research on traditional advertising through magazines such as the Yoga Journal. The intern will create a list of possible publications, their market and reach and costs of advertising.
6. We need research done on fairs, fests and other mass gatherings which are specific to spiritual, yoga, meditation or anything related to our concept to which we may want to go as vendors. I’ll need a list of those, their rules and prices as well as audience info.
7. We also need artistically inclined interns to produce brochures, stickers and other promo material as well as even participating in creation of new designs. If you are an Illustrator/Photoshop addict, we’ll have work for you.
8. There also will be opportunities to come up with your own marketing approaches and suggestions – I am all ears and very receptive!

Most work will be done remotely. I will reimburse for sales related travel. The paid internship position has been filled but we are still looking for anyone who is interested in an unpaid internship.

You have to be a self-starter and bring ideas to the table. Enthusiasm is a must!
